Miss J. Rose, of the local P. and T. office, is spending her annual holidays in Christchurch and Dunedin.

Mrs R. Morrissey is at present a patient at the Reefton Hospital. Miss D. Shields, of Blackball, is relieving at the local Post Office. Mrs S. Kennedy is on a visit to the North Island.

Mr and Mrs W. Harris are spending a holiday in Christchurch.

Miss M. Lines, who is to be married shortly, was tendered a gift evening in the Women’s Institute Hall on Friday, there being present a large number, and many beautiful and useful gifts wer e received. The evening was spent in games and dancing. Music was supplied by Mrs Nailer and Mr Forelsham. Mr T. Sullivan was an efficient M.C.
