Communists’ Case May Go to Privy Council

(Rec 10.0) SYDNEY, Oct 12. Mr Laurence Louis Sharkey, the general secretary of the Australian Communist Party, said to-day that his legal advisers were considering the seeking of leave to appeal to the Privy Council against his conviction on the charge of uttering seditious words.

Mr Sharkey, who is now on £lOOO bail, is due to appear before- Mr Justice Dwyer, on Monday next, for sentence.
