GOLF Southland Crack Going North
P.A. INVERCARGILL, Oct. 11 H. W. Rogers ,who has been a prominent golfer in Southland since the early 1930’s has) sold his business and intends going to the North Island. In addition to holding the Southland amateur championship, Rogers holds the 1949 western and eastern district championships, the Queen’s Park Club and senior offseason championships, and senior’ titles of the Riverton and Otautau Clubs. Rogers was also runner-up this season in the South Island championship held at Invercargill in June. ;
