We will not agree to any outside interference such as has transpired in the past. We reiterate our previous resolution of no confidence in Mr McLagan as Minister of Labour”. At a similar meeting at Westport the previous day, the following resolution was passed; “That this branch expresses full confidence in the national officers, this branch also expresses no confidence in the Minister of Labour”.
