Greek Communist Executed
ATHENS Oct 2 A Greek Communist leader, Deomisthenes Cheorghiou, who was sentenced to death by a military court a fortnight ago for taking part in an arme.i rebellion, was executed yesteiday. The Greek Prime Minister (Mr Alexander Diornedse) said: “The execution could not be prevented, as the Government motion postponing executions until the cases have been examined by the Council of Pardon not vet in force.”
