Mrs. Fero-uson presided over a good attendance at the monthly meeting of the Hari Hari Womens’ Institute. Aspirations were read by all, and the President welcomed Mrs. Moore from the Hokitika Institute. Mrs. Hansen was appointed delegate to the Ross meeting in October. Birthday Buttonholes were presented to Mesdames J. Ford, Hansen, McLaren, Glass, McKay and Minehan. Two letters from the link in England were read. A parcel weighing over 601 b has been sent to Corso.

Competition results were: Meringues: Mrs. R. McMillan Ist, Mrs. E. Searle 2nd, D. Graham 3rd. Spring Flowers: Mrs. R. Ferguson Ist., Mrs. Hansen 2nd, Mrs. J. Searle 3rd. Something made from cotton reels: Mrs. Graham. Knitted Joy: Mrs. R. Adamson Ist., Mrs. D. Graham 2nd.

After 1 the luncheon adjournment, Mrs Ferguson demonstrated Raffia Work, which was much appreciated.
