TOO MUCH SNOW AGAIN AT RUAPEHU FOR SKI CONTESTS

P.A; NEW PLYMOUTH, Sept 29. A heavy fall of snow, accompanied by particularly strong winds at the Chateau Tongariro and on the slopes of Mount Ruapehu caused the postponement of the Australian-New Zealand inter-Dominion downhill race and men’s and women’s championship slalom events to-day. This was the third day since the championships began on Sunday that unfavourable weather has caused a postponement. The members of the New Zealand" Ski Council held a ocnference with the Australian Ski Federation's representative and the non-playing captain of the Australian teanu, Mr R. G. Chisholm. Rules governing the contests between Australia and New Zealand are now being drawn up by both of the controlling sk ; bodies.
