CRASH OF AIR LINER IN THE ARGENTINE
(Rec. 10.10). BUENOS AIRES, Sept. 28 At least five persons were killed last night when an Argentinian airliner crashed in flames neai' Castilla, 155 miles west of Buenos Aires. Nineteen persons were injured. The plane was returning from a mercy mission to Ecuador, where thousands have died in the earthquakes recently.
LOSS OF PLANE IN VICTORIA (Rec 11.37) MELBOURNE, Sept 28. Hope has now been abandoned fo’-’ the five airmen in an Avro-Anson which disappeared on a training flight on Monday afternoon. Wreckage, which has been identified as part of the Avro-Anson has been washed up on the beach, south of Melbourne.
