MR J. P. KENNEDY AS N.Z. KEMSLEY SCHOLAR
P.A. WELLINGTON, September 28. Mr J. P. Kennedy, of the “StarSun”, Christchurch, was to-day selected as the New Zealand Kemsley Scholar for 1950.
This is the fourth award of the Kemsley Scholarship, which is open to journalists from each of the Dominions. The scholarship, which was instituted by Lord Kemsley, who has done much to foster exchange of journalists in the British Commonwealth, entitles the holder to one year in Britain, studying British newspaper production, as well as political, economic and social conditions in the United Kingdom and on th e Continent.
