PRISON ESCAPEES TAKEN IN WAIRARAPA

P.A MASTEP.TON Sept. 27 Two prisoners who escaped from Mourn Crawford prison, Robert Bernard Howe and Oliver James Reece Bull were located at 5.30 pm today bv the Wairarapa police patrol consisting of Inspector W. Kane, senior sergeant Sugrue and constables Frain of Martinborough and Nolder of Greytown. The escaped prisono'? were found in some scrub in a gully at the bottom end of Western Lake. They surrendered without any trouble, and were later handed over to a Wellington police party, and conveyed to Wellingon.
