Small Bore Rifle Club
Mrs Bithell shot well to win the women’s championship in the final shoot of the series, which was held at the week-end by the Westport Small Bore Rifle Club. She put on an excellent 99, and won the championship by four poits with a aggregate of 1167. Mrs A. Cox and Miss V. Walker were runners-up with 1163. D. Marr, L. Hutchison and. J. R. Keoghan scored 99’s in the senior division, Marr’s target being the best. In a make up shoot, Keoghan scored 100. Junior honours were shared by L. Luff, A. Ferguson and B. McLachlan with 97’s. Leading scores were as follows: Mrs Bithell, D. Marr, L. Hutchison, J. R. Keoghan 99; V. Emerson, J. Marshall, F. Mitchell, M. Palmer, N. Perkins 98; A. Ferguson, L. Luff, B. McLachlan, H. V.
