Marching Conference At Wellington

An event of great importance, in the Marching World, will be a conference in Wellington next Sunday, of the Chief Judges of the 19 Centres which comprise the N. Z. Marching Association. Under the chairmanship of the Dominion Chief Judge (Lt. Col. G. F. O, Leary, 0.8. E) a thorough study will be made of the 1949/50 Standard March Plan followed by a discussion of all phases of judging. A Wellington team will be used for demonstration purposes. As a result of this conference, there will be absolute uniformity and a high standard of judging throughout the Dominion during the coming Season. Mr. A. May will be the West Coast judge attending the conference and on his return from Wellington, he will confer with all the judges and instructors of the Centre.
