But No Lives Lost (Rec. 9.20) SYDNEY, Aug. 22 There was a spectacular fire on the eighth floor of the Albert Buildings, in Central Sydey to-day. It resulted in injuries to seven people, and it caused hundreds of employees to stampede to safety. The fire is believed to have broken out in a photographic studio. It sent columns of black smoke into the air. Large crowds gathered in the streets and on the rooftops of the adjacent buildings. They hampered the work of the firemen. Two men were cut off in the workroom. They sustained cuts when they dived through a window into a corridor.

Brigades cames from five stations. They brought the fire under control within an hour.
