TO-DAY’S VOTE
Hours 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. New Zealanders today vote in the 'voncl of three* referenda being held this year, the issue this time being whether or not military training for youths should be compulsory. Polling hours are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Employers are required to allow their staff two hours to vote, preferably at the end of the day. People able to vote early are asked to do so. There are the usual proisions for postal voting. There is a special booth for this purpose in Greymouth. Those affected include sick and inirm people. People absent from their electorates may vote at any Polling booth. Hotels close at noon to-day. All persons who were on the 1946 .■oils and all since registered have a vote, and in voting must strike out, according to his wish, .one of the other of the two lines:— I vote- FOR. compulsory military training. I vote AGAINST compulsory military training.
