P.A. INVERCARGILL. Aug. 2 A motorist had a narrow escape when his ear was nvolved in 'a collision with the Invercargill-bound limited exnress near Milburn station. He was Mr A. Thomson, of Milton. who was not aware of the approaching train until his car was about to cross the line. He just failed to get. clear of it. The engine struck the back of the car, spinning it out of its path, and tearing off one of the rear wheels. The car was severely dented, and part of the bodywork was ripped away, but the driver emerged unscathed.
