French Currency Regains Strength
(Per Associated Press) (Rec. 10.45). PARIS, July 18. “France has now one of the strongest currencies in the world”, said the Prime Minister of France, M. Henri Queuille. “When I came to power, last September, France was on the point of shutting up shop. To-day, we occupy the third place in the world in financial importance. We ar e in a transition period, when our directed economy is being, rapidly, replaced by a competitive economy”.
