Hungarian Regime Arrests Ex-Minister
BUDAPEST, June 18. The Hungarian Ministry of the Interior announced tonight _ that M ; Lz'szlo r.ajz, and Doctor Tibor Szonyi have been arrested on charges of espionage for a foreign power. M. Rajk is the former Foreign Minister of Hungary and Dr Szonyi a member oi. ■ho Central Committee and Central Control Commission and Cadre Secretary of the Workers’ Party. They were expelled from the Hungarian Communist Party a few . days ago. The expulsion order described them ns “spies anti Trotskyite agents of foreign imperialist powers.” A communique said that eighteen accomplices have also been arrested.
