U.S. Objection to AngloArgentine Trade Treaty

WASHINGTON, June 16 The American Under-Secretary of State (Mr James Webb) stated the United States hoped Britain and Argentina would carefully consider’ American objections before signing their new five-year trade agreement. Mr Webb said that the United States Government objected on the grounds of the agreement’s five-year duration, its effect on free international trace, and its impact on trade between the United States and Britain.
