Communists Prepare to Cross Yangtse
NANKING, March 23. A Nationalist military spokesman said to-day that. Communist preparations for an attempt to cross the Yangtse River were becoming more evident. Bases for the attempt, had been established at Yangchow on the north bank-■ T'he spokesman said that about 300,000 troops were continuing the advance south to fhe line on the north bank of the Yangtse.
He added that the Nationalist preparations to meet the attack were complete.
