MISSING YACHT SIGHTED IN STORMY COOK STRAIT SEAS

WELLINGTON, March 23.

The missing yacht, Matatua, was sighted off Cape Palliser before noon to-day. She was making slow progress in the stormy seas, but there were, no visible signs of distress. She appeared to be heading for Black Rock, to where a relief party has been dispatched. A. Nelson Press Association message states that a farmer living at Waitat.a Bay, near Admiralty Bay, east of French Pass, reports that a yacht resembling the missing craft visited the bay on March 18 and left after a brief sojourn.
