FORMER SAMOAN IS GERMAN NATIONAL

WELLINGTON, March 22 The Minister of Customs, the Rt. Hon. W. Nash, commenting on the refusal of the New Zealand authorities to permit Mr F. H. Duesterdieck, formerly of Samoa and Germany, to land in' New Zealand, as reported yesterday in a cablegram from Sydney, said the decision was due to the fact that all the evidence showed that Mr Duesterdieck was of German nationality.

Mr Nash said Mr Duesterdieck was born of a German father and resided in Germany from 1920 until at least 1945. He was born in New Zealand during a short visit here by his parents.
