New Measures in Malaya
(N.Z.P.A.—REUTER CABLE) (Rec. 11.30). SINGAPORE, March 22. The Government of the Federation of Malaya to-day amended the emergency regulations to authorise the death penalty or whipping for the offence of consorting with armed persons. The amendment, it is stated, was introduced to deal with terrorists; who had thrown away their arms when caueht by the security forces.
