AUCKLAND, March 14. A sail plane enthusiast from Australia, Mr A. Hardinge, covered 300 towing miles during the week-end On Saturday he was towed from Mangere to Waharoa, near Matamata. behind a Tiger Moth flown by an Auckland Aero Club pilot, Mr F. McKeever. There he gave a demonstration to members of the Piako Aero Club. . „ 1 From Waharoa, the sail plane wallowed to Ruhakia. near Hamilton, where Mr Hardinge .flew before a large crowd gathered for the Waikato Aero Club’s-field day. At the end of the return flight to Mangere last evening, the sail plane wak cast off at a height of 4000 feet, from where it glided to the aerodrome.
