Wareing in spite of an odd spill, put up some great performances and showed that he can send the wheels round to good purpose. He carried off the 500 c.c. lap record and the West Coast championship cup. Curtis rode well and kept his name in the limelight, "winning the D. R. Dowell Trophy for second place in the big race. Gugum showed up very well, and is without doubt one of the coming riders. His attempt on the lap record as a comparatively new rider was a very creditable -performance indeed. Longley once algain showed that good hard riding is right in his line and his performances for the day do him credit.
