Anglican Primate Appeals for Help for European Churches
(Rec. 11.46) BRISBANE, March 14 Australia must help in re-establish-ing German and other European churches, said the Anglican Primate, Archbishop-Mowll, of Sydney, to-day. Other countries, including New Zealand, had done much, but. Australia had done little. Archbishop Mowll blamed insufficient publicity and ignorance on the position of churches in Europe- for Australia’s lack of substantial help. German churches, considering their condition after the war, had done an amazing amount, helped by the World Council of Churches.
