DUTCH FORCES TAKE REPUBLICAN AIRFIELD AND MAKE LANDINGS

(Rec. 11.20) BATAVIA, Dec. 19 A Dutch Army communique has reported that Dutch paratroops landed near Jogkarta at dawn to-day. They captured the airfield there without opposition. After the capture of the airfield, further air-borne troops were landed. Dutch troops crossed the status quo line in Central Java and in East Java, and also in Central Sumatra. The communique added: Dutch marines have landed on the north coast of East Java.
