Dobson Women’s Institute

The Dobson Women’s Institute Christmas party was held in the Dobson Hall. It was a back-to-childhood function,' “Baby” Batey presiding over a large number of “children.” Games and various items were enjoyed. Presents were handed to all “children” from the Christmas tree by “Baby” Batey and “Fairy” Gibson. After a sit-down supper served by the “Baby” hostesses, a money box for Baby Cowan was handed around and received a good response. “Baby’' McMinn won the prize for being the popular boy of the party. The meeting closed with the singing of God Defend New Zealand.
