N.S.W. MINERS END STRIKE TO AVOID DRASTIC ACTION AGAINST THEM BY GOVERNMENTS
(Rec. 10.40) SYDNEY, November 8. Within a few minutes of a deadline that had been set by the ’N.S.W. State Government and the Federal Government, the New South Wales Miners’ Central Control Council decided, this afternoon to recommend that work will be resumed at all of the New South Wales coal mines to-morrow. The alternative to resuming was to have been drastic punitive action against the miners by the two Governments. (
