MANY MISSING PAPERS OF BOSWELL BROUGHT TO LIGHT
(Rec. 10.5). NEW YORK, Nov. 8. Two portions of James Boswells papers, which have been missing for over a century, and consisting of formerly unsuspected thousands of manuscripts and records, were pnvatelv exhibited, for the first time m New York at the week-end. . These manuscripts were found in Scotland and in Ireland. They were brought to America by LieutenantColonel Ralph Isham, of Britain. Boswell scholars of Yaye, Princeton and Columbia Universities, said that the significance of the find was beyond measure, and its bulk could affoid study for fifty students for fiftv years, The New York Times . says: The papers record and permit a deepei understanding of a great heutage common to all English-speaking peoples.
