Luxford, S.M., when Mihi Wong Foy, aged 31, was charged with being idle and disorderly, with insuificient means of support. The police said the woman was found early yesterday morning in a cabin m ihe Lauioka. She is the Maori wife of a Chinese who is ill and unable to work. She was neglecting her two children.
It was stated that, with the invalidity pension and child allowance, £2l was going to’ the home each month. The Magistrate said that in view of that the charge could not be sustained. “I cannot imagine wny shipping companies allowed Women t 0 go aboard,” he added.
