AUCKLAND FIRE
A fire in the city shortly before 7 o’clock this morning caused damage estimated at £3OOO in the building owned by the Ring Proprietary Ltd., Wyndham Street. Two rooms were gutted and other parts of the building were damaged by smoke and water. Damage on the ground floor which was used for the storage of electrical goods was estimated at about £2OOO. The fire is believed to have started on the first floor in a room where a steam pressing machine was extensively damaged.
