Bus Services for Pupils of Grey Technical High School
The Education Department, in a letter, asked the Grey Technical High School Board last night for further details regarding bus services for pupils of the school. The particulars required were in regard to children from' Ngahere and Nelson Creek, Gladstone and Camerons., and ie Kinga, who attended, the school. The board decided to forward the del ails. PRINCIPAL’S REPORT The Principal (Mr W. M. Stewart) reported that during the period two boys had been re-admitted, and one admitted. Ten boys and nine gnls had been withdrawn, leaving the school roll at 334, consisting of 170 boys and 164 girls. The average c - tendance had been 91.2 per cent, ranging from 94.4 to 88.0 pei cent. Day high school had been closed by the health authorities owing to a pupil contracting mild infantile paralysis. No further case had been reported and activities were resumed progress was being made with the concreting of the rankle, and the whole job should bccompleted before the end of the SC 'schoo J l subscriptions had. brought the progress amount for a year to £■>o4 13s 3d, and payments tor material transport of teams, entertainment and sundry expenses amounted to £2O Ils 6d, leaving a credit balance ih the school activities tund of tm 17s lid.
