JEANETTE MoTAGGART.—I was very sorry to hear that you had been sick, but I am glad that you are getting better now. I thought your drawing of “Spring” was lovely. JANE THODE. — Welcome to our Club, Jane. Would you . please let me know the date of your birthday ? BARBARA HUGHES.—I am glad to hear that you are practising hard for your music exam., Barbara. I wish you the best of luck.

AGNES MEREWETHER—No, Agnes, you are not too late to join our Club. You forgot to tell me the date of your birthday, so would you please let me know the next time you write. MAUREEN McPHIE. — Yes, Maureen, you can become a member of our Club. Would you please let me know how old you are ? MARY THOMPSON. — Yes, Mary, I received your letters. I thought your poem was very good, and also the limerick. I am glad that you like “King of the Royal Mounted.” TERRY KENNEDY. — Thank you for your letter, Terry. I am very pleased to have your sister Janice in our Club, too. What a shame you had to go back to bed and miss your trip to Nelson; You must have been very disappointed. ALAN HALL. — Thank you for the Hidden Cars Competition, Alan. It was very neatly set out. Extra marks for you this time, Alan.

DENZIL MACKIE.—You were asking about marks, Denzil. Well, for every correct answer in your competition you get one mark, so if there are ten questions you get ten marks, and so forth. ISOBEL PURCELL.—No, Isobel, vou are not too late to join our Club. I am glad that you had a nice time at the Health Camp. When your little sister Maureen is five, I will be very pleased to have her for a member of the Club. VERONICA BENYON, URSULA WEBBER.— Than!; you for the stories, girls. I enjoyed them very much. CUSH LA WOOD, MARY CLARKE, JILLIAN HUNTtR, CCLIN EVANS.— I thought your poems were all very good, and one Saturday soon I am going to use our space in the paper to print the best ones.
