Hotel Shouting Boycott Ended

P.A. DUNEDIN, September 10. The boycott of the hotels at Port Chalmers by watersiders—-introduced on June 29, as a protest against the ban on shouting—has ended, the watersiders having accepted certain proposals submitted by Mr. F. Fay, President of the Dunedin Licensed Victuallers’ Association. Although neither side would to-day disclose the terms of . the agreement, it appeared in some hotels that the question of shouting was being left to the discretion of the publicans.
