Pacific Earthquake Recorded
The earthquake in the Pacific this week was recorded on the new seismograph installed at the Kaimata observatory recentlv. The earthquake was first recorded at Honolulu at 3.17 * p.m. on September 8 (Greenwich Mean Time), and the recording at Kaimata at 3.44 J a.m. (N.Z. Mean Time), on September 9,27 i minutes later. Maximum intensity was recorded at 3.49 a.m., with movements continuing for more than two hours.
