Danube Convention Hailed as Soviet Victory
MOSCOW, August 22. The Communist Party newspaper, Pravda, in an qditoral, hails the signing of the Danube Convention as “a new victory in the Soviet’s Stalinist'policy.” The newspaper said the British
United States, and French refusal to, sign would not in the slightest degree influence the Convention’s coming into force.
