NORTH OF IRELAND PREMIER ON PARTITION ISSUE

(Rec. 7.30.). LONDON, Aug. 13. Sir Basil Brooke, Northern Ireland Prime Minister, in a speech in Fermanagh, declared:—“When Eire renounced her allegiance to the British Crown she erected the border, and closed the door on a United Ireland. We can only be good neighbours, and we can only achieve co-operation if: the leaders of Eire will cease to revive suspicion and hostility by ignor- , ing the stern reality of our determination to remain under the Union Jack. Neither force nor bribery, will make the people of Northern Ireland dishonour their history and renounce their inheritance.’’
