N.Z. Institute Of Secretaries

P.A. WELLINGTON, May 7. At the annual meeting of the New Zealand branch of the Chartered Institute of Secretaries, Mr N. R. Chapman (Auckland) was elected president; Messrs F. H. Bass (Wellington) and V. Kirk (Auckland) vice-presi-dents. Wellington members of the New Zealand branch form the council: Messrs F. H. Bass, E. W. Hunt, J. F. Langridge, and W. G. Rodger. It was announced at the meeting that the London Council had honoured Mr C D. Morneth (Wellington) by conferring on him a life membership of the Institute. Mr Morpeth has been a member of the Institute for more than 50 years, and is one of the oldest living members. This is the first occasion on which a New Zealand member has been so honoured.
