CROQUET Cobden Club
The Cobden Croquet Club held their closing day on Saturday, when there was a good attendance of members and visitors. Competitions held were golf croquet, hoop croquet, a treasure hunt, “helter-skelter” and clock croquet, the winners being Mesdames White, Young, McCarngan, Ramage and Eastwood. The President (Mr Higgins) stated that it was a happy and successful season that had just ended, and thanked all who assisted during the year. She called upon Mrs Ray to present prizes won during the season as follows: Championship Cup (Mrs Brown )’s Trophy), Mrs Higgins; Runner-up (Sanders Button), Mrs Ramage; Haglund Cup, Mrs White; Silver Button, Mrs Eastwood; Championship Bar, Mrs Higgins; Yankee Competition, Section A, Mrs Higgins; Section B, Mrs White. The President and Mrs Rav made presentations to Mr and Mrs Robb in recognition of the great assistance they had given during the season.
