(Rec 11.10) LONDON, May G Mr Emanuel Shinwell. former Civil Minister, and now War Secretary, has denied widespread rumours that he is on the point of quitting the Government. Rumours arose following a meeting of thp Parliamentary Labour Party at which attacks are reported to have been made on Mr Sir/wells week-end speech in which he declared that the Government started to nationalise without knowing how. Mr Shinwell saw Mr Attlee after the meeting. , Later he declared: I have no intention of resigning .either now or in the future.”
