TARANAKI CASES OF PARALYSIS

P.A. NEW PLYMOUTH, May 6. One new positive case of infantile paralysis was reported in Taranaki health district to-day. The patient is a Hnwera boy, aged twelve. One case that was diagnosed ns positive at New Plymouth Hospital a week ago has proved not to be poliomyelitis at all. Two suspects have proved negative. Cases in the district since November now number 55. Christchurch Case CHRISTCHURCH, May 6. ■ A positive case of infantile paralysis, a 17-year-old Christchurch girl, has been notified to the Health Department. It was the first notification since January 20 and the fourth positive case notified from the city since the outbreak of poliomyelitis last November.
