Young London “Gunman” Shoots Train Guard To Escape Trouble

(Rec. 9.50) LONDON, May 15 Police are searching for a boy aged about thirteen, who shot and wounded a railway guard in the guard’s van of a train while it was approaching Clapham Junction. A ticket inspector took the boy to the guard’s van after discovering that he had no ticket. The boy, when alone with the guard, produced a revolver and fired two shots, hitting the guard in tne shoulder. The boy then pulled the communication cord and jumped from the train and disappeared.
