Ship’s Cook Gaoled For Desertion
P.A. WELLINGTON, May 5. Richard McComish, aged 21, ship’s cook, made a spectacular last-min-ute escape from the “Durango” last Friday. He pleaded guilty to a charge of desertion in the Magistrate’s Court. He was sentenced to one month’s imprisonment bv Mr Goulding, S.M.
