Good Entries at Rotomanu Stock Sale
The National Mortgage & Agency Coy., Ltd., and Dalgety and Coy. Ltd. report on the above fixture held on Monday last as follows: — There was an entry of appoximately 180 head of cattle and 340 sheep and lambs offered to a fair attendance of butchers and graziers. There was good competition for all the best, quality lines of fat cattle but medium types of cows were rather difficult of sale. There was a steady demand for good coloured lines of young steers. There was a keen enquiry for fat and store sheep also lambs and these realised full market rates. The following is a list of the principle sales:— On account of K. Molloy, 155 ewes from 20s 3d to 26s 6d, 2 runners at £4 7s 6d to £5 12s 6d: A/c Honey Bros., 28 ewes at 16s 6d; A/c Ivan Marley, 30 fat ewes at 255; A/c A. J. Kennedy 43 fat lambs at 36 3d; A/c John Ryan, 41 wethers from 35s to 435, 2 cows at £6 12s 6d; A/c Mrs E. Cornish, 42 ewes at 19s 6d, 13 calves at £3 7s 6d; A/c J. H. Pitman, 3 cows from £7 7s 6d to £8 7s 6d; A/c Alex Graham, 8 steers at £9 17s 6d, 1 cow at £7 12s 6d; A/c John Graham, 1 steer at £9; A/c W. Vallance, 4 steers at £5 12s d, 5 cows from £5 17s 6d to £8 12s 6d, 1 runner at £5 2s 6d; A/c Mrs M.
