SECOND HOTEL FOR EKETAHUNA

MASTERTON, April 19.

Pahiatua Licensing Committee has now decided to issue a second publican’s license in Eketahuna. The premises, the Commercial-Club Hotel, are owned by Mr Ken Sutton, proprietor of the Club Hotel, Carterton, will be conducted by Mi - M. Campbell McLeod, at present a National Airways pilot. Mr Sutton stated that he was making the applications for various permits necessary to carry out fairly extensive alterations to the buildings which would' be renamed the Eketahuna Hotel.

The Mayor of Eketahuna, Mr Walton, has expressed pleasure in the decision,. ■ adding, that Eketahuna should benefit, from the point of view of accommodation and competition.
