Pay Rise for Over Million and Quarter Jap Government Workers

I N.Z.P.A.—Reuter Cable].. (Rec. 9.50). TOKIO, April 17. For six months there has been a dispute between the Government of Japan and thirteen hundred thousand Government workers. The dispute culminated in a series of strikes last month which were called oil by an order of the Supreme Command. The dispute was finally settled to-, night when the workers accepted a Government offer of 2920 yen (about fifteen pounds sterling) as the basic monthly wage standard.
