Montgomery Warns Forces Must be Strong in Present Strife
(Rec. 5.30). LONDON, April 17. “In the hand of strength lie the keys of peace and war”, said FieldMarshal Montgomery nt the opening in East Lancashire of the Territorial Forces Week to encourage interest in the Territorial Army. “Never again must we allow our forces to dwindle away as they did before the last war. It is not easy to say what will be the outcome of the present political-ideological strife”.
