RUGBY FOOTBALL STAR AND COBDEN TO PROVIDE TO-DAY’S MAIN MATCH
The. main match at Rugby Park to-day will be between Cobden and Star, both of whom had victories last Saturday. Star, depending as they did mostly on their forwards, and upon solo efforts from the backs, will find themselves up against a stiff proposition in the speedier Cobden back-line. The game, however, should be an attractive one, and the evenness of the teams gives promise of an exciting contest.
The second game at Rugby Park will see last week’s most unlucky team, United meet Blaketown, who had more than their share of misfortune when they managed to defeat Celtic by only two' points. This game should also attrack considerable attention, and both matches will give followers a line on possible new representatives this season. Hokitika supporters will have two games at Cass Square, with Celtic playing Kiwis, and St. Mary’s playing Excelsiors.
