BOXING SANDS ARRIVES FROM AUSTRALIA
P.A. AUCKLAND, February 29. The Australian triple title holder boxing champion, Dave Sands, arrived from Australia. A half-cast Aborigine, Sands weighs list 51b; and holds the middle weight, light heavy weight, and heavyweight titles in lus country. Sands has been brought to the Dominion by the Hutt Valley Boxing Association, and will engage in three bouts arranged by the Association at Petone. He will fight Doug Rollinson, of Waiuku. the New Zealand light heavy weight champion, on March 6, the Victorian light heavy weight champion, Jackie Marr, on March 27, and the New Zealand heavy weight champion, Don Mullett, on April 17.
