An unusual occurrence is included in this morning’s weather recordings. When the minimum grass temperature for the proceeding 24 hours was taken at 9 o’clock last night, it was round to exceed the minimum screen recording. The figures were 56.3 screen and 56.6 grass minimum. The “Weather Man", Mr D. S. Binnie, said last night that he could recall only one other similar occasion.

Yesterday’s warm weather attracted many people outside. The beaches were thronged and the roads leading from the town were well patroniseu by cars and many bicycles. The temperature, 69.3 degrees, was the warmest for several days, and was pleasantly tempered by a light easterly breeze.
